Hello friend, welcome back!
In my normal posts, I am always talking about things that I like, want to try, did, DIY, or give me inspiration. However, in my post of today, I want to talk to you about the 3 Mid Century Modern things I don’t like and are most likely that I will never use in any makeover. Unless my client wants them specifically, then yes. But my point is I wouldn’t volunteer to have these items.
- Metal kitchen v shape/ chevron handles or pulls: I have no clue why I don’t like them, I even have them in the metal cabinets I use at my warehouse and in my garage to house my paint supplies. But let me tell you something, I do not like them at all. Now that I am trying to put it into words maybe I would say that it is because something about them says totally utilitarian to me and not pretty. Who knows why, the main thing is that they do not appeal to me.

2. Big eye kids prints or paintings by Keane: I have never seen a real one, quite possibly I would change my mind on this if I had a real one but for some reason this type of paintings/ prints make me think of cheap cardboard.

3. Serge Moullie spider lamps: I know the appeal of these lamps is wide and vast. To the point that they are being reproduced by newer companies. However, I have seen only a couple of examples where they actually work. To me, it has something to do with the lack of body substance. Or maybe because every single time I have seen a spider walking in the ceiling I cannot leave it alone until it is dead. In any case, I think there are sooo many good alternatives to using this lamp.
And there you have it friend, short and sweet. As always my blog is just my opinions and taste. It is not meant to offend anyone, just to exemplify what I am writing about.
