Mid Century Modern Furniture and Design

Brasilia and Pearsall overload Gre-stuff |

Usually, during winter, we don’t get that many house calls. This past winter though we got one of the best calls eveeeer!!!

So here is how it went down, I received an email from the son of the homeowner, his mom moved and they needed to get rid of all the furniture of the house. He sent me some pictures of the house and the furniture (as you know this is the best way to offer your items to us). Then I made the appointment and we went to see everything in person. When we arrived I was blown away and super happy to see that pretty much all the wood pieces were Broyhill Brasilia and all of the upholstery pieces were Adrian Pearsall.  Everything had been purchased in 1968 when they got married and everything is in great vintage condition. The pride of ownership was visible throughout the house and definitely in all the furniture. In addition to this, I have to say that both mom and dad had great taste. Not only with the furniture they picked but the finishes, improvements, and personalization of the house was impeccable. As an example of this look at the color they had the piano painted… right?!

So here are some of the pictures of the house, and pay close attention to the finishes, his dad who was super handy did most of this work, what?!!! Yes, he did!

You can see all of the wood pieces already posted on the tables and case pieces categories and all of the upholstery pieces will be coming soon because they need to be re-upholstered and refreshed a little bit.
