Posing proudly with a new purpose this is a newly refinished floating top walnut Mid Century Modern desk from Hooker Mainline. The ‘Mainline’ series by Hooker was popular from the late 1950’s to the mid 1960’s and featured an American made take on Danish design. The desk is made from a mixture of solid walnut and walnut veneer over a hardwood base. There is plenty of storage by way of 3 drawers. The top part has two sliding doors. Storage compartments are neatly concealed on the top part of the floating desk. The back side of the desk has been nicely finished. There are a few minor nicks and scratches that are revealed through the photos. Other than that there is nothing else worth noting. This gem measures 50” long by 29” wide by 30” tall. Still stylish today this vintage desk still has cool appeal.
